Best Practices for Meeting and Exceeding North Carolina-s 2018 Residential Energy Code

$0.00

Description

North Carolina’s 2018 Energy Conservation Code for residential homes began on January 1, 2019 and will be in place through 2024. The new code increases energy efficiency requirements slightly through primarily increases to insulation and fenestration values. With the loss of a North Carolina-specific REScheck, stakeholders are encouraged to learn how to use the newly-available Energy Rating Index (ERI), similar to a Home Energy Rating, which is an optional energy code compliance pathway. This presentation summarizes key changes and provides an overview of the ERI pathway.
