This is the second of a three-part webinar series specifically for North Carolina code officials on the fundamentals of Residential HVAC Systems. Earn two mechanical CEs for participating in this webinar live and six total for the series.

This course is designed to teach code officials the fundamentals of proper HVAC equipment sizing and selection for homes. Attendees will learn how to properly size HVAC equipment for a new residential dwelling using a detailed heating and cooling load calculation and actual Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) performance data from different manufactures for Air-Conditioning, Heat Pumps and Gas Furnace systems. Issues related to improper sizing are presented so that the code official can better understand the interactions with the building envelope and help avoid the related problems and complaints that often arise after the building is occupied.
