The Chamber For a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro (The Chamber) published the Skilled Construction Trades Study, a compilation of research completed in partnership with the Skilled Construction Trades Study Group (Study Group), and with participation and input from NCBPA’s Ryan Miller on behalf of our member companies and the industry. The Report documents a worker shortage in the skilled construction trades and the costs of a tradescraft training center, and identifies the need for a comprehensive, county-wide workforce development plan.
There will also be a “High Performance Building Council Meeting“, scheduled for September 3, 2020 from 3:30pm-5:00pm. Learn more on the current status of the skilled trades talent pipeline, a possible training center & next steps for a comprehensive, county-wide development plan.
